Miroslaw (Mirek) Wieczorek joined Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. on September 21st, 2009 with over 20 years of (re)insurance underwriting and actuarial experience in most areas of property and casualty (re)insurance.

Mirek was formerly underwriting a broad range of customized property and casualty reinsurance transactions at Aspen Re in Bermuda for over two years. Prior to Aspen Re he was a consultant at Ernest & Young in New York advising a diverse group of insurance and reinsurance clients and served as a Senior Vice President with ACE Tempest Re, USA responsible for the underwriting of non-traditional reinsurance transactions.

From 1993 to 2004 Mirek served at Centre Re in New York, where he was most recently Senior Vice President with responsibility for underwriting and pricing innovative non-traditional and specialty reinsurance programs, credit enhancement and structured finance transactions. He began his career as an actuarial assistant with the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI), subsequently transferring two years later to Prudential Re.

Mirek holds a Master of Science degree in mathematics and he is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
